This is Section 2 of the University of Missouri System’s Consultant Procedures and Design Guidelines Manual. This manual is designed to assist architects, engineers, design professionals and design/build contractors (A/E) in understanding the University’s policies and expectations.
Section 2 includes detailed guidance for multiple delivery methods — including design-bid-build, design-build, construction manager at risk and master construction — along with key consultant documents such as adopted building codes, fee estimating tools and required templates. These materials ensure consistency, compliance and high-quality outcomes across all University projects.
All official versions of the Consultant Procedures and Design Guidelines are maintained on this site unless otherwise noted.
The appropriate edition for each active UM design project is referenced directly in the agreement between the University and the consultant.
